Abstract

The construction industry's transition to mandatory building information modeling has shifted construction supervision from selective documentary verification to continuous observation of three production parameters – time, cost and quality. The fragmentation of the software solutions used for this purpose generates a contradiction: digital tools are introduced along separate contours, while a management decision requires their joint interpretation, which is delayed under separate accounting. The aim of the work is to substantiate the architecture of a digital platform combining the three control contours into a single manageability indicator and to quantitatively assess the effect of such integration. The calculation is performed on the author's model of a portfolio of fourteen capital construction facilities using the chain substitution method and scenario modeling. The integrated manageability index rises from 0.627 to 0.841; the largest contribution to the increase comes from the time contour (0.089 out of 0.214), the smallest from the quality contour (0.051). The average lag in detecting a deviation is reduced from twenty-one to four days. The leading value of the time contour shows that manageability is achieved by synchronizing already collected data in a common environment rather than by increasing the number of autonomous control subsystems.
