Abstract
The paper substantiates the need to increase the resource and energy efficiency of the production of structural materials from wood raw materials. The physico-mechanical and operational characteristics of a wide range of structural composites are considered in detail. A comparative analysis of the contribution of wood materials to the product line of the industry at the national and international levels has been carried out. An algorithm for calculating the carbon footprint for alternative energy sources is presented. A set of engineering solutions is proposed to stimulate the expanded use of wood structures in modern construction.
