Abstract

This scientific article explores the influence of biophilic design on the effectiveness of construction processes and the psycho-emotional state of people in a built environment. Biophilic design, based on man's innate connection with nature, is becoming a key element of modern construction, contributing to increased productivity, improved air quality, and reduced stress among building users. The study shows that the integration of natural elements into construction projects leads to a 15% increase in productivity, a 15% increase in creativity, and a 13% improvement in overall well-being. An analysis of modern construction projects demonstrates that biophilic design helps to reduce energy costs by 12%, reduce water consumption by 40% and reduce the number of sick days by 18%. Construction companies implementing biophilic technologies note a decrease in staff turnover and an increase in attractiveness to investors. The results of the study confirm the economic effectiveness of biophilic design in construction, where investments in natural elements pay off in 2-5 years by reducing operating costs and increasing the value of real estate. This study provides evidence-based recommendations for architects, builders, and developers on integrating biophilic principles into modern construction projects.
